As the group gets bigger and more women attend I think we need to think about group/workshop settings. In particular the wise woman talk was fantastic but as the circle got larger to accommodate women we grew further apart. It became more difficult to hear, people were having little side bars, and the closeness can be lost. I'm not sure of what to suggest, but keeping things cozy and personal is helpful.

It may sound silly, but an idea could be something similar to the speed dating concept. Have a few questions (a list of three questions maybe, and one that you come up with, for example), and then at the beat of the drum, everyone moves over one seat and asks the questions again. One of the questions could be related to what do you think makes you different than anyone else here, and the other, what do you think you have in common. The drum would beat to signify the intervals, that it's time to switch partners. At the end the questions could be asked out loud and anyone can put up their hand to acknowledge that they've met someone here today who is different because....or you've met so and so, who actually has a lot in common with jane doe etc... Don't know, may be a little complex...just brainstorming.

I really like that idea. I few minutes one on one would be great. I know at the very least it might help me remember the names of people (since that seems to be the hardest for me).

Depending on how many wise women are leading the discussion we could always seperate off into groups with the wise one's accordingly to keep the groups smaller, break of into two or three groups if there are a lot of people and enough wise women to lead the conversations. The one on one is an interesting idea too, are there enough wise women to talk to everyone? That sounds like a fun ice breaker though!
